The Kingdom of Bahrain, also known as Mamlakat al-Bahrayn, is a small island nation in the Middle East, covering an area of 257 square miles. King Hamad ibn Isa al-Khalifah has been ruling since 1999, and the capital and largest city is Al-Manámah (Manama). With a population of approximately 1.425 million, Bahrain boasts a relatively high life expectancy of 78.58 years.

The country's official language is Arabic, but English, Farsi, and Urdu are also widely spoken. Bahrain's diverse population comprises Bahrainis, Asians, other Arabs, Africans, Europeans, and various other ethnic groups. The majority of the population follows Islam, while there are also significant Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jewish communities.

National Day is celebrated on December 16th. In terms of the economy, Bahrain has a GDP/PPP of around $34.96 billion, with a per capita income of $29,800. The nation is in the GMT+3 time zone and uses the Bahraini Dinar as its monetary unit.
