With a presence in over 120 countries and territories and more than 4000 tertiary institutions worldwide, AIESEC stands as the largest non-political, not-for-profit youth-run organization dedicated to fostering leadership in young people.

At AIESEC, we firmly believe that leadership is the key to unlocking a brighter future. That's why each year, we actively engage with over 50,000 young individuals, providing them with unparalleled opportunities for leadership development through cross-cultural exchanges and management experiences.

How it started

AIESEC in Kyrgyzstan

The journey of AIESEC in Kyrgyzstan began in 2005 when the AIESEC Initiative Group took its first steps. With great determination, on March 30, 2006, AIESEC in Kyrgyzstan was officially registered as a public association, solidifying its commitment to making a positive impact.

In 2007, the organization proudly became an esteemed member of the AIESEC international association, marking a significant milestone in its growth and global presence.

A large-scale cultural festival Global Village was held in Bishkek

The City Hall of Bishkek together with the youth organization AIESEC held a large-scale cultural festival GlobalVillage 2017 at the Kurmanjan monument in Kyrgyzstan.

Which leaders have become an example for the youth of Kyrgyzstan?

The global youth movement and youth advocacy campaign Youth Speak (AIESEC) has released its 2016 youth survey report.

The organizers of the survey tried to find out what worries young people today, where young people are heading, who young people trust most, and what leaders young people admire.

In addition, we ensure that the local committee receives essential education, training, and support to enhance their experience and growth within AIESEC in Kyrgyzstan.

Our AIESEC history

AIESEC's story started in 1948, 75 years ago.

1948 - AIESEC was established.


AIESEC was established in 1948 after World War II, where seven youth across seven countries had a dream of building cross-cultural understanding across nations. They hoped to change the world, one person and one internship at a time.

1977 - Spread across 6 continents

By 1977, AIESEC was present in 50 countries across six continents! To this date, over 40,000 young people around the world had participated in a leadership development experience.

2010 - Over 10,000 experiences that year

In 2010, AIESEC crosses 10,000 experiences delivered in one year alone for the first time. By now, over 230,000 experiences have been provided, all facilitated by youth for youth.

2015 - Spread across 6 Implementing the SDGs

In 2015, AIESEC’s youth leaders from 126 countries and territories in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth gathered at the United Nations Headquarters to promote and drive youth participation in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The relevance and contribution of AIESEC is clearer than ever.
